This module covers the advanced trigger features introduced in PicoScope 6 version 6.0.12.1, with a focus on practical automotive diagnostic applications.
The following trigger types are demonstrated and explained:
- Simple Edge and Advanced Edge (including hysteresis to reduce false triggering from signal noise)
- Window trigger (triggering based on a signal entering or exiting a defined voltage window)
- Pulse Width trigger (triggering based on the duration of a positive or negative pulse, with greater than, less than, inside range, and outside range conditions)
- Interval trigger (similar to pulse width, but based on a complete signal cycle duration)
- Window Pulse Width trigger (combining voltage window and pulse duration conditions)
- Level Dropout trigger (triggering when a signal stays high or low beyond a specified time, useful for catching intermittent signal failures)
- Window Dropout trigger (triggering when a signal enters or exits a window and remains in that state beyond a specified time)
Note is made of a known bug in the interval trigger's outside-the-time-range condition present in this build. The module also briefly mentions two other new features in this version: a spectrum analyzer mode and the return of the sample rate performance monitor.
