This module introduces Creative Labscope Technique, a diagnostic approach built around using the DSO instinctively and systematically to track down elusive faults. The technique is framed around three core principles: knowing the system under test, action/reaction testing using dual-trace, and following the electronic trail to the source of a failure.

The module also covers foundational DSO concepts you'll need to apply the technique effectively:

• Trigger controls: trigger level, slope, time delay, single vs. repeat modes, and using triggering creatively to capture intermittents
• Additional trigger features found on some scopes (event delay, cycles delay, pulse width triggering)
• AC vs. DC coupling: when to use each and why defaulting to DC coupling is almost always the right call
