This module covers how to synchronize a relative compression test capture so you can identify which compression event corresponds to which cylinder.

Several synchronization methods are discussed, including:

• COP wand (secondary spark signal)
• Low current clamp measuring amperage through individual coils
• Spark plug test lead on a plug wire
• Voltage test lead connected to the ECM command signal for a specific coil

The module also demonstrates how to use PicoScope tools like zoom, scale, and offset to clean up and interpret the waveform, and how to use the firing order to identify which cylinder has an anomaly once the capture is synchronized.
