Trevor started with Autonerdz as a client back in 2016, when he discovered the service-first business that Tom Roberts started. In 2020, when Tom had to step away due to pressures from the coronavirus pandemic, Trevor stepped in. 2025 marks 5 years for Trevor as owner, and 9 years as a Nerd.
Trevor first knew he wanted to be a technician when he was five. Watching his dad working on the car, it became his singular focus through school. He wrenched as a technician for 15 years before taking over Autonerdz. Through his experience on the workshop floor, Trevor discovered a powerful love for problem-solving. Whether he's fixing a problem under the hood or helping someone overcome a hurdle, solving problems is what keeps Trevor moving.
Trevor was first introduced to a Picoscope in 2010. He originally worked for a dealership before moving to an independent shop. The shop owner offered to send him to a class. Trevor was hooked immediately, discovering a new dimension of electrical understanding that he didn't have access to before.
Leveraging Trevor's unique skillset, Autonerdz has opened up their training program and continues to pour more time and effort into growing their digital and in-person training offerings. Trevor believes in kinesthetic learning over lecture-style learning. His classes often occur in shops where techs can see the Picoscope in action in real time, solving real problems to impart knowledge that techs can use the next day in the shop.

Nerdz are what keep Trevor moving, and continue to grow his passion for helping others. Trevor was first drawn to the level of support and community Autonerdz offered under Tom, and has only grown the support since then. He works daily with Nerdz who have been part of the community for a few weeks and over a decade alike.
The Nerdz community continues to thrive, and Trevor spends his days reading through forum posts, leading classes, and taking support calls to help fellow Nerdz solve real-world problems in the shop.
Autonerdz is committed to staying at the forefront of automotive technology, and to providing a level of support you won't find anywhere else. Trevor hopes in future years to see Autonerdz expand its reach, both across the country and by showing other industries how they can use Picoscope technology to expand their reach.
"I am a technician, I have always been a technician. I expect to always be a technician. Rather than turn the wrench every day, now I do my best to help others who do."
- Trevor Schleintz

Brian has been with Autonerdz as a technical support specialist for 16 years. Over that time, Brian has experienced a mix of challenges, learning opportunities, and "plenty of fun." His experience at Autonerdz has been both intimidating and incredibly rewarding.
In high school, Brian got his first job in automotive, working part-time at a service station doing oil changes, tune-ups, and installing parts. He completed the Automotive Tech program at South Puget Sound Community College, earning an ATA degree. He spent the next 15 years at independent repair shops, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
After over a decade of wrenching, Brian felt drawn to teaching. He returned to SPSCC as an instructor and taught full-time for 5 years, focusing on electronics and driveability. His teaching journey later led him away from SPSCC, to Autonerdz.
Brian had used Pico products extensively in the past, both as a tech and as a teacher. When he joined Autonerdz under Tom's leadership, he discovered just how much more there was to learn. He continued with Autonerdz under Trevor's leadership, and is looking forward to see where Autonerdz goes next.
"I'm excited to be part of a community where I can both support others and continue growing myself. Looking forward to working with and learning from all of you."
- Brian Haley

Nerds with a tenure of 5+ years will likely remember Tom fondly. One of the foremost experts in the application of Picoscope for automotive, Tom has long been a presence on forums and in groups, with a passion for educating techs and helping them make use of this game-changing tool.
Tom began his career as a technician and diagnostician, taking his on-the-ground experience to shops as a traveling trainer. He originally ran a website that listed all of the scopes on the market and their specs. His easy-to-understand approach to scoping led the Pico team to notice him.
In 2000, Tom purchased a Picoscope for himself and new immediately that the Picoscope was the most powerful lab scope on the market. He agreed to list their scope on his site, and in return, he was granted a distributorship.
Word of Tom's unique approach to training and support spread quickly, and techs like Trevor and Brian were drawn to Autonerdz. 25 years later, Autonerdz is still selling Picoscopes and leveraging Tom's accessible approach to next-level support.
