I haven't seen a Renault in years. That being said I believe  speed sensor aka CKP is what the computer uses for spark and injection pulse.  With an obdll code P0505 maybe the idle air valve is stuck closed. Try holding the gas pedal down to the floor and crank it. This should put the car in clear flood mode and turn off the injectors to dry the plugs. Let us know what you find.

Not sure where this came from since it was not mentioned previously in this thread.  Are you just trying to push his buttons?  Not cool.

No Tom !

The information he reqs is on his Autodata (for his DTC, unless his version is well out of date,I wouldn't know as I use the genuine online service), which is a Pirate copy, that's not cool  Undecided

Can you please give your engine code ie k4j714, k4j750.     The crankshaft sensor can go open circuit whilst warm.      Check starter motor wiring harness touching exhaust manifold causing short circuit to earth ?Check all fuses ?

No, it's not cool.  But there was no reason for you to bring that up here.  That's all I was saying.

I see no difference between using pirated/cloned tools and buying stolen tools out of the back of a pickup truck.  You are supporting criminals.  Someday it might be your tools in the back of the truck.   Angry
