has there been some maintenance work done to this site in the last few days?  every time i open autonerdz it takes an eternity.  this includes every time a post is opened.

i thought it was on my end, but no other site is acting the same way.

I hve been experiencing the same thing since last night, glad to hear I'm not alone as that clears my end too (only the nerdz forum is affected for me) be it that I am opening a thread or trying to download a psd file the speed it about 28.8K dial up at best, at one ppoint I was downloading at 367 bytes per second, not kilo bytes or mega bytes, just bytes..... Shocked

I wonder if we are experiencing a "denial of service" attack from the nerdz haters!  Smiley  (LMAO)  Little do they know Tom is scoping his internet connection to identify the users doing it.....  (LMAO)  Cheesy

Hope it's just a small issue like the server got overloaded or needs a reboot or something, but if it needs a reboot then we'll be without the forum for a while!  What will Larry do all night then? Roll Eyes  (LMAO)

did a quick 30 hop tracert to see where it's dropping off, there are two unknown hubs in the midwest that are giving me trouble but as soon as I get routed to the west coast and try to leave the california area I time out for 18 hubs and my trace cuts out as I hit my 30 hhops, sounds like someone is having an internet outage somewhere and it is not the server.  This would be proven if people that live closer that use a different chain of hubs to get there have a connection that works fine.

Hope it gets fixed soon!

It's a function of DOS, if you open a command prompt window in XP or Vista or windows 7 and type tracert www.autonerds.com ii will trace your connection up to 30 hubs and give you the response time it takes for that hub to get data to you.  I'ts kinda like pinging a server but your doing it on a chain of em.

I didn't notice any issues here.  Glad it's working again though.  Sounds like it was a cyberspace traffic jam   Sad

So, For I what I'm reading, you guys dont have any issues anymore, and I'm still expiriencing the problem.
Any other page that I open works okay.
Could it be this area?  If it was my computer it would be slow with every website right?  Sad   Im gonna try with my desktop to see if there is any difference.

my problem returned, dang.......

tracert shows different hubs not responding (one more unkown in the midwest) and the same problem as soon as I get to the west coast.  Seems the issue is only affecting those east of say texas?  Oh well, guess I'll go though all the tutorial movies while I wait for this to be fixed.....

Quick question for all those affected, who is your ISP?  I can get to the site in slow motion on my old blackberry just like normal but using my 18MBPS DSL line through AT&T I get no where fast on the site, any one else have AT&T and have this problem? Or do we have more than one ISP affected.

I pay alot of dang good money for that speed and I'd like to use it as I please you know?  LOL

Still no issues here.  Is this just viewing the forums or other parts of the site too?

I'll contact my host and see if they have any ideas.
