There is another week to register.

The hotel still has rooms available.

Tom,

How are the instructors chosen for this and other events?

I have to admit to some frustration here. Through the years I've monitored names, classes, etc and well... I'll leave it at that.

Jim,

That's a good question.

This is the first event I have been to in some time.  I have worked with the ASA people up here in years past and I got a call about putting on a class there this time for the first ATE.

Would you like to be in the next one???  I can sure put in a good word for you.

People have done that, nothing ever happens.

I once had someone "check in" with Brent Black as to my qualifications. Good grief.... as if he would be an authority...

But I ask not just to get in again, but because I would like a reason to go to such events other than to visit.

I'm looking for something midway between what is normal now and the engineering courses at SAE. THAT is real training. IMHO of course.

I'm not interested in scope classes, but if I was I'm sure yours would be excellent and an exception. But I think you would agree, your an exception.

I do remember Macs class a decade or more ago. It was really great, he filled in many gaps for me. I got his DVD from you as a refresher. But alas, the information is growing more and more irrelevant as the newer models roll out.

That is a controversial statement for sure, but I not only will stick to it but wish it were not true.

Jim,

I have little doubt you'd have much trouble getting a spot in the line-up.

There are many in our industry that truly know who you are with respect to your knowledge. As for a coordinator asking the iATN staff for a recommendation, well...that doesn't seem appropriate for validation. Tom would vouch for you and so would I. I can think of many others that would as well.

You are one of the greatest masters of the Tech2. Go for it. I can see no reason why you wouldn't be able to fill the seats.

You got it.

I spend too much time alone and next to none interacting with those who share the same passion. Would be very fun. Stressful, but fun. I worry about everything...   Smiley

How I wish I had a quicker mind and a better speaking voice.

I sat in your class at the ASC trade show six years ago, Jim.  We need the real Jim Wilson back on the circuit.

On the iATN Industry Events this Feb someone asked if the Jim Wilson listed at Vision was the Jim Wilson who is "The legend of GM driveability".  Alas, it was Jim Wilson the impostor  Shocked  He got directed to Flatrater  Wink

The ATE show was done very well.  ASA did a great job  Wink

Lots of training to choose from.  Carl's class got great reviews, as did mine, and the trade show was well attended with many vendors to visit.

Here is a picture of the Autonerdz booth before the show.  As usual, we had large crowds around the booth often and many visitors spent time at our Pico hands on station sitting with the tablet PC running the 3423.
