Hi,
I have been visiting this forum for a while now, posting a few things, and really enjoying the information and the people here. Thanks to all.
Now the shocking truth. I am not an auto tech.

I am a marine tech. Thats right, I work on boats!

I specialize in marine engine (gas only, no diesel) diagnostics and performance upgrades.
Marine engine technology is a little behind in some ways (no emissions requirements at all until 2003 model year), but the latest marine engines are quite modern, totally computer controlled, feature DIS systems, sequential port fuel injection, and some even have controller area network (CAN) connections with system monitors. Almost all new marine engines are GM base engines. Most of the engines I work on are GM V8's with 260 to over 1,000 HP.
I have a marine specific PC based scan tool (not OBDII) that I use in cojunction with my PC based engine analyzer. Below is a few screen captures of my setup.
I hope you all can forgive my deception and accept me as a fellow "nerd". Thanks.
Dave
