I am also Green

If any vets have a significantly easier way, or a different option for doing this, please chime in.
Anyway, It sounds like you know how to capture a screen. Here are some links that might help with adding the arrows and text.
Software you could use:
http://www.irfanview.com/This is a free photo editor that I've seen the vets on here recommend. Technically any image editing program will work, so if you like Paint or program X, and are proficient with it, you could use that program instead.
Here's a link to a youtube video on adding text using Irfanview, and there are other tutorials linked there also that may help you learn how to use image editing software.
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=irfanview&sm=3Essentially doing a "mark up" (overlaying text and arrows) is just opening a file of a screen capture in any image editing program, and drawing all over it.
In pico, display the screen you want to draw on, and then:
Click Edit
Click Copy Entire Window as Image
Then open whatever image editor you choose, (Irfanview, Paint, or whatever)
Within the image editor program (Irfan or Paint, etc), find a menu option or button called "Paste", or "Paste from Clipboard" and click it, and your screen capture should come into the editor, where you can draw all over it.

Once you are done editing, you just save the file with a new name, in .jpg format, in a folder you'll remember, and you can attach it to a post here for all to see.
Hopefully this helps, it looks like a lot, so I hope it counts as "taking it easy on you" ... I'm not sure what you computer background is....if you get stuck, post back.
PS.. use the image editor to resize the file to 1024x768 (just hunt around for a menu item called resize)
