Hi

I am about to upgrade my 3000 series 4 channel to the 4000 model. I would like to know if there is a newer model due for release as I dont want to get the new one only to find a newer model released shortly afterwards.

Many thanks

Hi Smh

The 4000 Series scope is a great scope, is far more equipped with power, performance and general use for todays technology and with looking at the new technologies being research through the SAE, the 4000 has a long way to go.

In terms of a new scope, when I was at Pico, these discussions took place, there was no real desire to produce a replacement for the 4000 series scope as like I said it is far superior than current applications.

Now I cant say that Pico may never release a new scope as none of us will know but what I would say is if you purchased the 4000 as a replacement and say months later a new scope was to be launched; unless it had a built in scanner and could make the coffee at tea break, I woudnt say there was a real need to go out and get it straight away. You could easily get your money back on the 4000 through usage and wait out a new scope.

I know that doesnt help you much as your looking for a definitive answer about a new scope but I can honestly say there wasnt any plans for one before I left Pico and the 4000 would be a great investment.

Kind Regards

Hi Lee

Thanks for the reply.

I do appreciate that the 4000 may be replaced at some time its just if there was an imminent replacement I would have waited.

I will be in touch with you at some point as I am in the UK and would like the "autonerdz" specialist kit.

Many thanks
