PicoScope and Windows 8 OS?
Nov 10th, 2012 at 9:00am

Hi Tom,
Have you heard (or experimented with) if Pico software will run on a PC with Windows 8 installed on it?  I have heard Windows 7 and Pico run well together but am wondering about Windows 8?  At present, I am still running Windows XP Pro ( Embarrassed) and am looking to go to either Win 7 or 8.
Thanks,
Doug S.

We have tried it and PicoScope seems to work just fine on Windows 8.

Windows 8 is quite different.  It's more like a smartphone interface.  Be sure to play with one first to see if you like it.

hi doug,

unless you're going to get a touch screen computer, windows 8 isn't really worth the trouble, imo.  i will say that i've been having a blast using pico on a touchscreen with windows 7  Cool.

Hi Tom, Crackerclicker,
Thank you for the replies.  At this point, I don't see a touch screen in my future.  Wink  I think what I am probably going to do is upgrade from XP Pro to 7 Pro, if I can get my hands on that program.
Take care,
Doug S.
