Looking for a employment in the Chicago land area. I have attached my resume, and would be glad to here form prospective employers or referrals.

Thank you.

Well on the job hunt again; turns out the owner of the place I am currently at is more promise than delivery.

After conversing with fellow employes and things the owner has said, I find that future prospects will be lacking.

So if anyone is looking for a good tech; shows up on time; L1 certified; likes to stay up to date with current and future tech; please give me a shout.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Adam,

I might be needing someone soon in St. Louis. You would have to relocate obviously.

Regards,

The economy + trying to sell my house will probably keep me up here for the foreseeable future; though it is tempting.

Thanks.

Adam,

Took a peak at the resume and at glance some areas seemed a bit vague.  Is that just me?  Not knocking it, I was just thinking it might be a stronger resume with more specific examples.

Good luck in the finding a good place to work.

Hey Adam, these guys are looking for a drive ability man. I was checking a 740i at a car wash on the west side and they offered me a gig. The shop is in a pretty nice area. Looks like they get a lot of traffic. Talk to Paul.

Adam,

I did not forget you I just have access  to the internet M-F.  I will PM some suggestions to you.

It is interesting though I had a college course that  I took and one of the tasks was to make a resume.  I took a look at the one I put together and I did the same thing.  Thankfully I was not looking at the time I made it but it does not hurt to update it.

You need to check your grammar, spelling and punctuation.
If, I was a prospective employer, you wouldn't make the first round with that resume.

I'm not trying to be a dick either  Smiley I tell it like it is, so don't take this the wrong way and get all butt hurt. You need a lot of help. It's pretty terrible. Someone looking to hire you, isn't interested in your road testing capability. They want to see your skill information and schooling info too. Don't make it long and drawn out with frivolous information, like coordinating RO's ETC.

If, I get some time this week, I'll be glad to work on it to try and help you  Smiley

I can tell you up front. You need to add the reference information. This is key to making a good impression.
Without it, and having upon request, it makes you look lazy  Smiley

I like it Adam, but it might need a tadbit more detail.

Looks like we have been trained by the same Greats, my updated resume includes being part of the Picogroup...

Here's a quick edit.  Don't substitute and, for & in a resume  Smiley Substitutions make you look lazy.

Try to remember, it's in the details. Glaring omission of details will kill you.  The word, Driveability is not hyphenated  Smiley

I'm not claiming to be MR RESUME, but I know people that hire and we always talk about the details missed. Just like the job.

Well yes and no.

Have had a few jobs since I posted; none that have panned out for various reasons.

The current place I am at is going okay so far, as time will tell.
