Just finished up a short class. It went very well.

I'd like to thank Mike, Terry and the others for making this possible.

Regards,

Thanks for coming Carl. Hopefully something will come out of it from other shops that will see how useful the Pico scope is. It woud be nice if we could do this again in the future  and get more shops to come..Mike in St. Louis.

It was my pleasure, Mike. Sure, I'll do it again. Just let me know what type of class you're interested in so I can assemble that for you and the others.

Thank you for your donation and being a major player in this.

Next time you guys do this, be sure to post it up here in advance so we can get the word out.  I can also get it up on the events page as well as the social networking sites, Newzletter, etc.

Wouldn't it be funny if someone posted our Pico classes on iATN Industry Events too....Bet you bux it would be removed.  Although, that wouldn't look very good would it, after allowing another Pico specific class to be offered for a fee.

We'll try to do that next time, Tom. That was my intent all along. I was hoping to get this out in the Pico newsletter in time. As it turns out, our timing was out of sync a little bit. I wasn't receiving Mike's Emails and there was a bit of phone tag going on.

I'm not so sure this would fly very well on iATN either. You know the drill. It's OK for some to advertise fee based classes, but I'm not so sure I could even get away with advertising a free class. I'm not even going to try. We can get the message out without going that route.

Sure can Carl.  I wasn't suggesting that one of us post, but that it was OK with me if anyone else wanted to post any training events they find here somewhere else too.

Thanks so much for putting this on.  I know how much work it is.... Wink

thanks tom  Smiley.  i'd considered it before  around the time matt fanslow asked if someone would post up training from you.  so, if it's ok with you, i suppose we can mention the pico hands on classes on iatn.

carl, as long as there is no problem with people that are not affiliated with you posting classes on iatn i'll gladly do it.  i doubt it will get pulled going that route, but if it does then we will know.

Carl,

Would you consider doing something in the Denver area? I know it is a little way for you although you are a bit closer than Tom  Smiley

May be we could work on planning and put something together in the future.

Thanks Sam

OK, you guys need to quit bitching to one another in your private little club here and POST IT ON iATN!!!   ALL THIS ENDLESS SPECULATION DOES NO GOOD FOR THIS SITE- IT MERELY EXTENDS THE HARD FEELINGS/ MISCONCEPTIONS.

Lets see how long this post lasts or me on Autonerdz- I am C& P this response to several friends, BTW.

SG,

Since it is only your second post if no one else has mentioned it welcome.

If Carl and I can work something out for a Denver deal I will post on the iATN events deal.  I am not afraid. Grin

There are several dynamics with in iATN and that is not surprising with the number of members.  Some guys like dealing with Tom for Pico stuff other like other guys that is fine.  Tom is my go to guy for Pico stuff and he seems like a fair and reasonable person.

Hang around for awhile maybe you will give us a chance even if you do not change your mind.

Sam

SG,

I too would like to welcome you.  However, I'm not sure I understand the hostile tone of your response.  It seems you yourself have fallen under some misconceptions.  As long as this forum has been active (6+ yrs) only one person has ever been removed.... for showing a closeup photo of his "big black Buick" (NOT his car...  Shocked ).

This discussion was a dialog regarding the possibility of posting the free Pico classes that Autonerdz offers, given the recent posting of a pay-to-go Pico training class posted by one of our competitors on iATN.  If the iATN rules have changed in this regard, we would very much like to enjoy the same benefits of being an iATN member as others; and our discussion displays our curiosity as to whether the rules are applied differently to different members.

Again, welcome to the Autonerdz forums.  Feel free to speak your opinions; This is a public club.  Anyone can register for free.

Thanks for the kind welcome, Tom.  Nothing "hostile" about my post- just the facts as I see them.  You will find that I speak my mind with no games unless someone wants to "play"!

I don't think the rules have changed, but the method and "spirit" have to be present to post about anything on iATN.  The previous problems I have heard about were a simple wrong forum for the posting.

I had truly hoped that the "spirit" of iATN had spilled outward in the automotive community- namely, that we are NOT each other's competition, but rather that we are all in this together.

Alas, I still have hope.

Thanks again for the warm welcome- have a great evening.

Scott,

Apologies if I misinterpreted your attitude as hostile when that was not your intent.

This just seemed like you were making assumptions based on disinformation.  I'm glad you put it to the test.  You will find the reality here quite different than what you may have been expecting.

Excellent.  You will be in good company here then   Wink

Thanks for telling your friends too.  They are welcome as well.   Smiley

Absolutely.

It sure is. That is a rather long drive. I'd prefer to fly out. I won't be able to do this for free though. If I had enough money to give it away, I would. You'll need to get enough techs to at least cover my expenses. I'm sure you understand.

That sounds very good, Sam. I think you might already have my email address, but just in case you don't, here it is: carlgrotti@socket.net

I was not expecting it for free so no worries.  I sent an email, hopefully we can work something out.

Hi, Huggard, glad to see you're still alive.  I see your spelling hasn't improved any.

Have a great weekend.

Did you mean spelling or grammar?
Or is Koolaide the correct spelling? Smiley
