How fast of a PC do I need? (Read 2,803 times)

Mar 1^st, 2008 at 7:57am I've been running Pico 5.13.7 on this P3 733Mhz PC for a long time and It really doesn't want to run Pico 6 very good at all. I have this old Athlon64 3200 that's 2Ghz at home I don't use at all. Do you think this is fast enough to run latest Pico Software and Still crank up sample rate?

Here are the PC resources we recommend for PicoScope 6:

Windows XP or Vista (32 bit)
GHz range processor
USB 2.0
1 gig of RAM for XP and 2 gigs for Vista

This is for a 3000 series. If you are using a 212, you don't need nearly this much.

You might want to consider subscribing to the Autonerdz PicoScope support and training system for access to a wide variety of resources to help you become an expert user.

And Yes, I do have 3000. It's that 4 channel scope. I used to use Sun450 before this and I really like Pico a lot. Anyway, Thanks for the reply:) I'll take my old PC to work and get it running for Pico:)
