Well, looks like they are finally here!

Pretty impressive specs.  I really like the fact that it is pwered through the USB port.

When can I get a demo version on extended loan, Tom?

Hi Harv,

Trust me.  That's not what you have been waiting for.  The direct USB is cool and it's USB powered, but beyond that it has little to offer the 212/50 can't.  You have larger buffers and faster processors available but they have some limitations that make them less suitable for automotive work:

  • It has 8 bit resolultion instead of 12 bit.

  • The minimum voltage range is 10mv/div

  • They are not compatable with the automotive software

They have an ADC for each channel but the buffers are shared.  I don't plan to stock these but can order you one if you like  Wink

I have a brochure I could send to you, if you want to take a look.  The 3204 is less scope than the 212/50 having equal speed and equal buffer, but less resolution and voltage ranges.  Hang in there Harv.....

I was just checking out the pico site and the 3000 scopes it lists a 3 percent accuracy this is less than the 212 models I think.  Check out the pico site for all the info.  The 1M buffer on the 3206 is truely insane.

Hi Sam,

You are correct.  Here is a great page from the Pico site that describes vertical resolution:
