Support Question
May 16th, 2004 at 4:54pm

Hi,

I have been needing to upgrade my scope setup for some time now and have been doing my homework.

PicoScope is on my short list of equipment I am now considering.    I  like how you can use longer screen times and zoom in on all that detail!  The others can't even come close to reproducing that.

PicoScope lacks some features that I wanted but those features lose their attraction without the high resolution detail that I also want.

I can use a PC with average skill but have reservations about jumping into something totally PC based.  I've been playing with the demo but feel better knowing I have backup.  I have heard your support is first class.  What does the support consist of and what are the subscription fees for that support?

Hi John,

Thanks for considering PicoScope.  The Autonerdz PicoScope support package is free with each kit purchase.  It's aso available sepatately for $350.  It includes:

• Toll Free US Phone Support. No please hold hell or circular phone trees. Calls are usually answered the same day.

• Group Therapy With The Picotologist Sessions. These monthly live voice enabled internet sessions enable users to interact with each other exchanging files as well as helpful tips and techniques.

• Email Support. This is often a great way to get your issue resolved. I can’t see what your doing on the phone but sending me your psd file allows me to see exactly what you are doing and helps me to give more exacting suggestions.

• The PicoScope Tips Article. This comprehensive article covers many of the frequently asked questions and turbo charges your launch with the PicoScope.

• The Autonerdz PicoScope Users Email Group. This email list serve connects you with our users world wide and enables you to share files and offer tips or get help from the group. This is a great enhancement for your PicoScope experience.

• The Autonerdz Community Forums. Access to the PicoScope Users section of the Autonerdz Community Forums. Now including web delivered Flash tutorial movies.

None of this is meant to replace the fine direct Pico Technology factory support. This package is meant to enhance your PicoScope experience. None of us has all the answers and some issues require factory support. Also, I reserve the right to go on vacation  Smiley

I know what you mean about scope features.  No single unit does it all.  That's why so many have more than one scope.  True though, the features don't mean much if the unit cant perform to your requirements.   Undecided

Well, I had some other priorities, so it took a bit longer than I wanted but I did it.  I had pico up and running in about 20 minutes right out of the box  Cheesy

Now it's study and practice time.  I have started on the movies and they are a huge boost to my understanding of this thing.  They will really shorten my frustration time.  I'm one of those monkey see people...visual learner.  Just what I need.  They are like attending a training class on the equipment.

Thank you!

Thank you, John.

Glad you like the movies.  You probably already noticed, but we have about half a dozen of these now and have posted a new forum in the users area that indexes all of them so you can find them easily.  They were spread out in various postings.  We'll be doing more of these and will add them to the library index as they are released.

Let me know if you need anything  Wink
