You are an AOL user huh. I'm sorry. The problem is on your end. Here's the deal:
AOL saves themselves money by crippling your internet experience in many ways. You have to be very determined to find all the places they have done this and reconfigure. In some instances you have to download and install other programs to make it work. In other cases there is nothing you can do. Most AOL users don't even know what they are missing much less take the time to fix it. Until they get a real ISP, they will never experience the internet as others do.
Doing a search for AOL and image problems will result in over a quarter of a million hits. Unfortunately, image problems are only the tip of the iceberg.
So, what do you do? I suggest you get a real ISP. But, if you really want to keep AOL, you will have do do some research and make some changes to make it work.
For starters, you will have to turn off image compression. The procedure varies depending on what version you use.
