Title: Autonerdz Web Training
Post by Tom Roberts on Jun 4th, 2004 at 7:43pm
You have all been enjoying all the free services on the site, like the articles and forums.  We don't intend to make any changes there and you will continue to enjoy and benefit from the quality material and discussion provided.  You may have wondered how Autonerdz can provide all this free stuff on an advertisement free site with no annoying banners or pop ups.  Other parts of the Autonerdz business support the site and we do it that way because everyone appreciates it and we believe that knowledge should be shared freely, as much as possible.  The new Autonerdz Community Forums have provided one of the few places left where techs can share and learn freely in a friendly atmosphere.

So, what's changed?  We have started producing web delivered Flash movies.  We have just produced a 50 minute video on DSO Sample Rate Comparison.  This production follows the Autonerdz tradition of quality and informative training.  The subject of this movie is covered in Nerd I of the Nerd Series.  Many of you have expressed a desire to attend Autonerdz Training but have not had the opportunity.  Many of you have asked about video training and web classes.  Well, here is the first generation of Autonerdz web based training.  Of course, these take time and expense to produce and deliver.

Your $30 support donation gets you access to this new 50 minute production.  By using DSO operating principles and two specifications, you can apply some simple math and calculate DSO true sample rate at any given time base.  With this knowledge, you can effectively compare one instrument to another.  You will save time, avoid frustration, and save money.  You can calculate your scope's true sample rate limits and avoid the mistakes that result from using your DSO beyond it's capabilities.
