Title: Picoscope Hands on Class
Post by busjockey on Oct 14th, 2019 at 9:52pm
Hi everyone, great news.  A nerd member, Kevin Edwards has convinced his shop owner to let me do a hands on class at their shop.  It will be on November 16th and 17th from 8am to 5pm.  We will have a 1 hour lunch break starting at noon.  Cost of the class is 450.00 US Dollars per person.  In order to attend this class you have to be a Autonerd Picogroup member or to get access to my Training and the Autonerdz resources you have to buy a kit from me.  The address of the shop is  1900 Township Road 128 , Junction City Ohio 43748.  This class will start out with beginner level training but by the last day I hope to show some Advanced Level Techniques.  The main goal is to get everyone comfortable with the Pico Software and once that is done with time permitting we can move on to more advanced level testing.  Also this class will have a mixture of Vehicles we will be doing testing on.  I have decided to do training for Auto as well so we will have Auto and Diesel at this live hands on event.  If interested best way to get a hold of me is to pm me here or through my website.

Class minimum is 8 for this class to happen and 10 is the max.  Looking forward to hearing from everyone. :)
Also once I see that the minimum required is met I will contact everyone personally to make sure you are still coming.  Once that is confirmed I will take payment.  After that their will be no refunds so make sure you can make it. :)  If I do not have at least 8 Attendees by November 8th the class will be cancelled.  Have a good evening. :)

Hi everyone I have a question and be honest.  Do I ever appear to have a chip on my shoulder or have you noticed that I have had one in the past?  I recently just posted a video telling everyone I am doing a Picoscope Hands on Class and I got a comment from someone that told me this.  Here is the link to my video and take a look at the comment and tell me what you think.  I thought this was quite alarming and I just want to see what everyone else thinks.  Thank you. :)

Nope.

Don't let it get to you.  Some just don't get it.  That's OK.  Their loss.  But there are those that feel the need to put others down in order to feel better about themselves.  Most of these don't even realize that they look like an idiot because most everyone sees this.

Remember...  The secret to success is knowing who to blame for your failures.   ::)

One suggestion on your classes though.   It's harder to fill a class with short notice.  Might want to extend the registration window next time...

Geez Mike, how can you be SO greedy??  :'(  ;)

You mean to tell me that you're going to drive 5 1/2 hours EACH way (350+ miles across 2 states), get a hotel room for (most likely) 2 nights, spend 16+ hours of live, hands on, Pico specific training on both HD and Auto from someone who is ASE Master Certified in Transit Bus (over 20 years experience) and an L2 Advanced Specialist who can answer any questions that might be asked during the class, AND you're hoping to be compensated for your time after expenses??  :o

The nerve of some people..... :D ;D  (HEAVY sarcasm...)

I ran some quick numbers, and $450/person is MORE than reasonable considering 2 days of training ($225/day). Not to mention you will be spending a MINIMUM 27 hours just in travel and teaching...

I wouldn't give it any more thought, keyboard warrior with 2 subscribers, looks and sounds like he's got nothing better to do. Possibly jealous of your initiative.

Do what you do best and enjoy it.

I do NOT think you have a chip on your shoulder.

I also do not think you should be apologizing as you did about the requirements for attending the course. That's your prerogative to do so in my opinion. It is also my opinion that I am not sure I would make it a requirement for the course you are teaching. If I heard the course correctly it is about Cummins system that you would be using Pico scope as well as scan tools. In other words it is not a Pico scope only class... Am I correct here?

Pricing seems reasonable.

Randy needs to pull his head out of his ass and get a life. But then that's just my honest opinion as well.   8-)

Mike,

I'm late to the party as usual...

The interwebs can be a mean place. It's not an excuse but some people use the web as a shield so they write things they would never have the spine to say to your face. Pay them no mind. I, for one, see what you've been doing and see something I might like doing in the future.

Congrats Mike!
