Title: Possible Pico purchase.
Post by Vic on May 20th, 2019 at 10:25am
I am just about ready to jump on the pico wagon. I currently use my verus edge and pico's wps for my diagnostics.  I have seen that ATS has its scope that has all the nice overlay's and does the calculations for you when doing in cylinder waveforms.  I have not used the pico software before for this, does pico have these overlays?  Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

You came to the right place for sure.  We are the only PicoScope automotive specialists.

It does have some cool features but the performance just isn't there.  The maximum sample rate is only a million samples per second divided by channels.  Your Verus can outperform it.  You will never be able to look at things like CAN with the ATS because it's too slow.  The Pico is over a thousand times faster than the Verus:

Pico does not, but we do, and you will have access to these applications by Rod Maher when you purchase an Autonerdz custom PicoScope kit.  Plus a whole lot more:

We look forward to working with you.   ;)

Sounds Good, now let me see what kit is best for me as I have most adapters.  What would you recommend?

Not knowing what adapters and adapter manufacturer, it's hard to say.  Pico accessories perform well, others may not.

Feel free to give us a call and we can discuss the options.

Probably our most popular kit is the PicoQuad Standard kit because it has most of the accessories you will need to hit the ground running.  Then you can add pressure transducer stuff and other accessories later.

The larger kits come with WPS transducer kits included as well as a bunch more stuff.  Just depends on how big a leap you want to take.  The bigger the kit the more you save over the individual item pricing but there is something to be said for spreading the cost out over time too.

But we have that covered too:
