Hey all!
Names Dan.

Couldn't have found a better place to have such useful information as well as some super talented techs. I hope to learn a lot from you guys.

Welcome Dan, what part of Chicago are you from?  I'm 2 hours south of you in Champaign. :)

Cool!  I went to universal technical institute out there back in 2001-2002.  I lived in Lombard and worked at the pep boys for about 6 months and then laurel motors Mercedes for about 6 months.  I liked it out there, it was fun.

Ha, small world. I went to UTI in 2008-2009. Grew up in Lombard, my parents are still there. Never heard of Laurel Motors unless it's changed names since. Where are ya at now, still in Illinois?

I’m actually back in NY, I have a 6 bay shop in the small town that I grew up in, about an hour north of Syracuse due east of Lake Ontario where you see the snowfall in “feet” on the news.  You’ll enjoy reading the threads on this site, to be honest, reading these threads make me feel stupid sometimes, these guys are sharp.  I believe the apartment complex I lived in out there in Lombard was called “Yorktown 2” if that’s still around.

yep, i've been doing quite a bit of reading, and learning lol

If i never saw snow again i'd be a happy camper. that is miserable. yorktown is still around, lots of new apartments, and condos built over in that area.
