Title: Attachment test
Post by TrevorSchlientz on Jan 28th, 2018 at 4:11pm
I took this capture to try and prove that this engine had a worn timing chain. Why can't I see the slop in the timing chain in my capture? I scoped the Cam and Crankshaft position sensors with a sync on #1 ignition. I've measured the correlation between the 2 sensors  in many places along the capture and I always come up with value of 14 degrees. Now, I know I made some assumptions but I believe I should have enough information to see the chain slop if there is any. I don't have any scan data stored. What do you see?

Here is a zoomed out view. I did a couple throttle snaps figuring I would see the slop between the rising and falling the the engine speed.
