Title: Greetings from the west coast
Post by Jordan Hill on Aug 16th, 2017 at 9:14pm
Hi all!  I am a new scope owner/user and I am very, very happy with the purchase.  I had been a flat rater for 12 years until recently.  I would turn my brain off when I got to the shop in the morning and let my hands do the work.  As long as I booked 10-12 hours a day I didn't want to learn anything new.  I completely agree with Tom's 'Cancer on the Industry' post on the Autonerdz webpage.  Thankfully those days are behind me!  It is incredibly exciting to be learning the things I have not understood, misunderstood and taken for granted for years now.  Thanks!

p.s.  If you have a couple minutes to waste, this video is a drum set made from car parts I put together a few years back.

Welcome to the group Jordan! Seems your mind got turned back on when you left from the looks of that drum set. Very cool!

That's just awesome.  What are the things on the string that look like cups?

Scope work is the opposite of flat rate.  Slowing down makes you faster.  Often times all the answers are right there in your capture if you take the time to analyze it and think it through.

Welcome to the global LSD cult.  We look forward to your contributions.   8-)

They are receiver driers that I cut the tops off of and removed the guts from.  Then they can be tuned by shortening them.
