Title: relative compression test on 24 volt system.
Post by nero411 on Jun 12th, 2017 at 5:13am
Greeting to you all.

this keep bothering me for quit a while but didn't find the time to send this post.

I work as field tech for caterpillar dealer so most of the machine are 24v,  i found that i cant perform a relative compression test & pico keep send this massage (see attach file) the raw voltage is out of screen as well. i didn't find any way to do change configuration that will set for 24v.
I use the 4425 four channel diesel kit.

any suggestion? did i missed something?

The other thing i would like to know is about save my scope file in a well organize comfortable & ease way of using it, like the good old program from AES WAVE information management system (that unfortunately doesn't support win 7 & up).

Any ideas on this topic?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried the battery test instead?

The battery test has a button for 24V and you can hook up High Amp clamp to channel B and attach it to the battery negative cable and crank it over.

Yes I'm quit aware of those tests. Basically this what i did for relative compression test i used the current clamp.
As for battery test there is no issue for me.

Thanks.

Hi Nero I'm a Diesel guy myself.  I have never used Pico Diagnostics but I can try it out myself when I get back to work.  Make sure you go to Cummins Bus, I have a lot of good stuff on there for us Diesel Techs. :)  Any questions let me know. :)  Nice to have another Diesel guy.  We are starting to grow in numbers which is awesome!  Hallelujah!  For awhile I thought I was talking to myself when I first got on this forum, lol. ;D

Hi Nir,

There is a newer software version out for PicoDiagnostics. The current software version is  1.9.5.2724 so it may be worth updating then trying again. Let us know how you get on!

This might be close to what you're looking for.
