Title: Hobbyist and motor sports beginner from Sweden.
Post by AlexA on Apr 27th, 2017 at 7:30am
Hello. As the son of a late rallye driver and car dealer owner/mechanic, I learned the value of using good tools at a young age.

I have now, a long time after my fathers passing, started to have my own interes in cars. I have helped myself, family and friends with car troubles and diagnostics to the best of my ability, reading up on problems.

I have also started racing cheap Saabs in swedish folkrace. With all the car troubles that entails.

With an interest and some education in computer science, the notion of finding troubles in a computer aided manner excites me and I am currently trying to get my hands on a reasonable priced picoscope in sweden, for my quite limited use.

Hope to learn lots!
Regards
Alex

Hello AlexA.  Make sure you do your homework before you purchase.  I would highly recommend purchasing a custom kit with picogroup membership from the Nerdz crew.  I am very happy with my purchases from them.  It's the best bang for the buck in the industry for a Picoscope. :)

I couldn't find that autonerdz delivered to sweden. Do they? Otherwise I have an offer on ebay for a picoscope 4425 standard kit for a few hour more.

We have customers globally, including Sweden.  One of our guys in Sweden even came here for class and a visit.

We don't market outside North America because we try to avoid stepping on the toes of the local vendors.  So, we encourage them to source locally but if someone insists they want to purchase from us, we oblige.   ;)

Shipping is expensive and then there is duty and tax but most find it well worth it.

You can also subscribe to our Picogroup resources by annual subscription.  Less expensive in the long run with a custom kit though as that way the subscription does not need to be renewed.

In any case, welcome to the forums and enjoy.

Thank you Tom. Do I understand your website correctly that you have a partner in the UK that offers your custom kit with the autonerdz support? I will try to contact them then.

His kits may be a bit different than ours but yes.  He has kits that include our Picogroup subscription resources..

Yes. It seams to be missing a few secondary ignition pickups, which I might need for my current problem, unfortunately. But I guess they are not too expensive to add. Thank you.
