Title: File Size Limit Raised
Post by Tom Roberts on Jun 27th, 2014 at 4:22pm
We have raised our attachment file size limit here to 20MB.

Please continue to cut your photos down to a reasonable size and limit Pico data files by only saving out relevant screens.

No reason to waste the server space with a multi screen capture when only one screen has relevant information.   ;)

Also no reason to post multi megabyte high res photos when you can simply resize them to a few hundred kilobytes before attaching them.

We raised this to be large enough for the long time base single screen multi channel power captures.   [smiley=chopper.gif]

That's awesome!  Thanks!  I hope Pico gets theirs to work better.  I tried sending a 16meg single screen capture, but got rejected.   :'(

OK, that's odd.  I saw Karl post over on the Pico forums about the same problem.

I'll look into it.

Hmmm, I tried to upload the same file today with the scope attached hoping that would make a difference, but no go.  So, I tried a different file that was 1.1meg, and suceeded.  However, I noticed my 1.1meg file is shown as 2.9megs on the Database.  Perhaps their 20megs isn't the same as our 20megs.   :D

Personally, I hope they get this figured out because I'm in the habit of taking somewhat large single screen captures that can't be whittled down to the smaller sizes.  I suppose if it's something I know will be added to the Database I could conceivably plan ahead, but that's not always the case in the heat of battle.  ;D

Please post up your problem file in the 6.9.9.1 software discussion thread.  and add your observations there.
