It's a continuing battle to keep these forums clean and usable for all.  Spammers are continually trying to break the forums security 24/7.  Occasionally, we have to take a more aggressive and pro active approach to supplement the built in security features.

We are very careful when we do this but may make a mistake once in a while.  

If you have received a message that you are banned, or suddenly find that you can no longer post, or are unable to register, or have been deleted, please let me know the details.  You can contact me using this form:

Please include all the information on the form, your username, and your IP address, if you know it.  I will look into it and get back to you.

Reasons this might happen are that someone has used your IP, or email to spam the world.  Or the username you have chosen has been used by a spammer.  Or...I pushed the wrong button   :-?

If you have been banned unjustly, please accept my apologies.  This is not an exact science.   :o

Something strange was going on with your PC.  Glad it's working now.  Had to be some weird cookie handling problem.  A similar thing will happen if you log on with one PC and then go to another....you'll see yourself logged in but can't post or anything.  Cleaning out the temp files and cookies may have not had any effect until you rebooted.

As for the spammers....I got a kick out of this site:
