Title: Windows 10 Preliminary Post by crackerclicker on Apr 11th, 2015 at 3:43pm
Downloaded the Windows 10 Preview last night to get a feel for it before they begin to offer it for free this summer. At this point in time I'll be completely skipping Windows 8, so I can't compare the two to each other. However, I can say all my programs up to this point have been compatible, including Pico. I'll likely try to run the Pico hardware on Monday when I get back to work. I'm not expecting any issues other than those that may arise from using a virtual machine to run Windows.

I know with talking to me IT friend this looks pretty promising. Just need to see how the manufactures are going to adopt it and how long it will take ;)

Exactly right. I don't have the same concern with OE tooling that you would, but that's the same reason I wanted to test Snap On's SSC because they have a bad track record with new Operating Systems, lol. |

so did they get rid of that stupid windows page when you hit the start menu icon and go back to the old start menu?

Looks like they put the "Metro" screen inside the start menu, but it's probably customizable.
