???I have a ranger that I have to drive 1/2 to 8/10ths of a mile (cold start) before it drops into overdrive. Have 3 wires going into the tranny, so I think it is electronically controlled. Can anyone suggest the prob?

Wow..this one's been hangin around unanswered for a while.....

There is no problem here.. That trans has computer control of the lock-up and overdrive. what you describe is normal warm up strategy.
