Hi All,

Just thought I would post a PicoScope tip once in a while. Feel free to post ones of your own :-) The following is a fairly common question that comes up about how best to share PicoScope captures.

How do I share captures or prepare images for upload to the web and iATN?

The best way to share with another Pico user is to send the psd file. This way they can open it with PicoScope and get full featured options just as if they had made the capture themselves. Just save as psd and attach the file to an email.

A couple of tips getting PicoScope images for iATN:

I prefer gif format for upload. PicoScope does not save as gif. Also, the images it saves are of the waveform screen only. You don't get the buttons and settings, which I like to have in my images. The easy solution is to get a good image program like IrfanView. It's free:

Then when I get the screen the way I like it, I hit the print screen button on the keyboard and save the screen to the chipboard. Then I paste into IrfanView, cropping or resizing as desired, leaving the screen buttons and settings in the image. I then save as gif and it's ready for upload. I often add my brand also. Here is an example of how it comes out. I have also included the psd file that this image was drawn from.

We could use some additional comments for the comments page http://www.autonerdz.com/picousers.htm. If you have any to share, please send them my way and I will get them up.
