Hello fellow Pico users,
Quite often I like to compare waveforms side by side or one on top of another or perhaps overlaying them so that I don't have to flip back and forth. The file | merge function allows us to do that. For those that are unfamiliar on how this works, maybe I can clear it up a bit.
There is more than one way to do this, so lets look at the different ways.
1) Go to file | open for the first trace. Go to file | merge for the second or subsequent traces. Now choose view | new composite. You can use settings | options to configure this. Your choices are side by side (max 2), overlay view, one above another (max 4), and 2x2 square (max 4).
2) Go to file | open for the first trace. Go to file | merge for the second or subsequent traces. Now go to window and choose either tile or cascade. (You can also use this in conjunction with view | composite).
I think to overlay, you need to be at the same time base and same pre-trigger setting.
You can now save this custom screen if you choose to.
Regards,
Carl G
