Can you get a good secondary all by itself? If your secondary setup is good, I would trigger off the injector to see both events. Keep in mind though, that sequential injection timing may be quite far from the ignition event. The injection timing will often vary based on RPM too. At idle, the injector may fire on the cylinder exhaust stroke to allow time for vaporization and perhaps closer to the intake stroke at higher RPM. On DIS, you may be seeing the waste firing near the injection which may explain a small firing pattern. Try placing more time on the screen. Be sure your max samples is turned up for this or you will have poor results.
