Yo ho ho, Bob...
Nice to meet you... I am a 'greenhorn" fifty year old. I mean fellows in their forties whom have been doing cars forever have quite more experience than I do. I really like this site. Nobody has written for days. Must be the dog days of summer and the buzz of the flies makin' people listless in the hot sun and all that.
Do you own those shops? I have a shop space I am preparing for to work on vehicles and other stuff. Here is a piston from a rather large motor I am mounting onto my scooter. D'ya think?

Fisher how new is the motor that rod came out of. I was noticing the cracked cap technology. They haven't been doing that all that long around automotive applications.  Makes for real good indexing of the cap but about impossible to recondition with any conventional means. That one looks too expensive to just pitch when something happens to it. Maybe they make oversize inserts (greater outside radius)?
BTW It looks too cold for me working on that boat. :)

Welcome to the forums Bob.

Here is an alternative to that engine for your bike Fisher, I saw where one of these turbines sold for 920.00 on e-bay
